Awards Banquet – Saturday March 1, 2014

Hope College, Holland, MI

Chicken Venetian (A pan fried chicken breast topped with a creamy Marsala wine demi-glaze, artichokes, fresh basil, roasted peppers and parmesan cheese - served with polenta, grilled zucchini and pesto tortellini.)

 

Herbed Sundried Tomato Ravioli (Vegetarian Sun dried tomato ravioli with fresh asparagus tips, sauteed portobello mushrooms, and freshly grated parmesan cheese finished with a trio of traditional sauces and served with house garlic bread.)

 

Gluten free vegan (Chef’s choice.)

 

Each dinner includes Salad, Bread, coffee, tea, and dessert (Holland layered mousse treat). 

 

You may wish to invite your parents, family, teachers, and friends.  However, a payment of $20 for each additional guest is required, with a check payable to “Hope College - MMPC.”

Schedule

·      2:30-3:10 PM Registration and welcome (Graves Hall)

·      3:14 PM “Plain Bob and the Tower of Algebra” by Professor Michele Intermont, Kalamazoo College (Graves Hall)

·      4:15 PM Poster session – “Great things you can do with a strong mathematics background” (Schaap Science Center Atrium)

·      5:15 PM Banquet (Haworth Inn and Conference Center)

·      6:00 PM Welcome by Dr. Karen Nordell Pearson, Associate Dean of Research and Scholarship at Hope College

·      7:45 PM Closing remarks

We recommend the Haworth Inn and Conference Center for those wishing to spend the night.  This is on the Hope College campus and is the site for the awards banquet.
